Clearing your computer's cache
Clearing the cache in your browser periodically can increase the speed at which web pages load. Frequently these files become corrupt and may either slow or stop pages from loading at all. These directions assume that you currently have the program running

Internet Explorer 5.0 and Newer Versions

Step 1: Click on the Tools menu. Then, choose Internet Options.
Step 2: On the General tab, click on Delete Files toward the middle of the window, then choose OK on the dialog box. To view the amount of disk space that your Temporary Internet Files can use, click on the Settings button. It is recommended that you use up to no larger than 10% of your hard drive space. Some people prefer to use under 5% of the available space, however, we recommend that you play around with what works best for you.
Step 3: Next, click on the Clear History button. Then, choose Yes on the dialog box. Then, choose OK and choose OK again. The cache is now cleared.

Netscape Communicator 4.05 and Newer Versions

Step 1: Click on the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
Step 2: Click on the + sign next to Advanced under the heading Category. Should be the last option on the left-hand side.
Step 3: Next, under Advanced, click on Cache.
Step 4: There are (2) buttons located on this window for clearing the cache. First, click on Clear Memory Cache and click Yes on the dialog box that comes up. Next, click on Clear Disk Cache and , once again, click Yes on the dialog box that comes up.
Step 5: Choose OK, and you're finished.
