Netscape 6.2 Mail

Start Netscape (w/o dialing in), go to Edit, and then Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings.

Then, click on the New Account button.

Enter your common name or business name where it asks for Your Name.

If you have a Netscape email account, enter the username for that account where it prompts.

Click Next to continue.

Make sure the radio button that states ISP or email provider is selected.

Click Next to continue.

Enter your name or a name you would like others to see in the "From" field when you email them.

Insert your JVLNET email address where it asks for you Email Address.

Click Next to continue.

Select the POP radio button if is is not marked already.

Enter mail.jvlnet.com in the Server Name field.

Click Next to continue.

Enter your JVLNET username which is the first part of your email address before the @jvlnet.com.

Click Next to continue.

Enter a account name that you would like to refer to. The wizard will already have your email address in this field but you may change it to anything you would like.

Click Next to continue.

Confirm that you have entered all the correct information.

Account Name: username@jvlnet.com or what you previously entered
User Name:

Your JVLNET username

Email Address: username@jvlnet.com
Incoming Server Name: mail.jvlnet.com
Incoming Server Type: POP3
Outgoing Server Name (SMTP): mail (mail.jvlnet.com)

Click Finish to complete the wizard.
