Dial Up Configuration
Changing Local Access Numbers
Windows
For Windows 3.1:
Click on the Connect To
JVLNET icon and select the Properties option. In the General window,
change the telephone number as needed. Click OK.
For Windows 95:
Click on the My Computer icon
on your desktop. Open the Dial-Up Networking folder, and click once on the Connect
To JVLNET icon (your icon may be named something different, depending on how you
created it). Under the File menu, select the Properties option and change
the telephone number to the appropriate local access number. Click OK.
For Windows NT 4.0:
Click on the Dial Up
Networking icon and highlight the JVLNET entry. Click the More button, then Edit
entry and modem properties. Change the phone number as needed and select OK.
Macintosh
Free PPP
To change the telephone
number in the Free PPP dialer, go to the Apple Menu, and then Control Panels.
Choose free ppp, then the Account tab in the middle of the window. Highlight
the JVLNET account info and click the edit button to its right.
Config PPP
To change the telephone
number in Config PPP, go to the Apple Menu, Control Panels, and then Config
PPP. Make sure that JVLNET is selected as the connection and click the config
button at the bottom of the window.
OT/ PPP ( showing up as PPP in the control panels )
Go to the Apple Menu Control panels. PPP is the last selection in the
connections area.
